You know what else I wish they would explore further? Ted seeing Barney clean up those rose petals. Like - is that ever going to be acknowledged or are we supposed to forget it happened? Because I want fall-out! *g*
And speaking of Ted...oh, Ted. He's an idiot and sometimes a horrible person, but he does genuinely love his friends and want them to be happy. The whole thing was awesome, but the fact that he used 'Highway to Hell'? And 'Wait, this is the best part!' Apparently, it took the set designers two solid days to set that up and get it to work.
And yes - Marshall's expression when he said, 'Mr. Erikson' was priceless. His lawyer reaction? 'Did she file with the IOC? Has she considered slouching to make herself shorter?' And while I'm with you and hope that Lily figures it out, I LOVED when she looked at Robin and said, 'What about that one where you ski and shoot? I bet you'd be really good at that.'
Yeah. Yeah. I will be so violently DISPLEASED if they do not end up together. But. 'The third rail'? Seriously?! Like, it makes everything work but you touch it and die? What? Hold me!
OMG, PEETA. Like, I have do have other thoughts about HG but all I want to talk about is how much I love Peeta. Like I said, I've been rereading pretty obsessively and when she finds him in the mud during their first Games? 'Frosting, the last refuge of the dying'! And when she tells him she's going to roll him into the stream and his entire reaction is just - 'Excellent.'
Yes, yes. Epic love cakes. But - he's funny! And she actually enjoys herself around him. When she doesn't think about it, then get all worried that she shouldn't enjoy him that much.

Well, they did jokingly suggest Robin had slept with Barney the night she started acting weird. Barney's reaction was clear but of course they sitcommed it. That would have been a good opportunity for the lightbulb to appear over Ted's head about the rose petals... I feel like it will come back, but maybe not for a while. I hope they make it important later. Honestly I was hoping someone would put the clues together and suspect something.
Robin would be fantastic at biathlon!
How do you feel about Barney's overall positive reaction to having a kid?
Yeah, that third rail stuff, I don't know. And what do they mean that this is going to lead to a reshuffling of the group? Why are they hoping people will 'stay on board' with the show after this episode? All of that concerns me.
I basically just read HG and MJ again because I recced them to a friend at work and he had questions, so I understand! I love that his humour goes from sincere to sarcastic and he uses them both effectively. I love/hate that Katniss is so scared to love him because it's not necessary to survive the way food or shelter is.

Maybe it'll be Ted. He saw Barney with the rose petals. He saw the extent of how upset Robin was. Plus, voiceover Ted did have that line earlier this season about the three of them not being healthy and they just hadn't realized it yet.
I am okay with Barney's reaction because it was totally hypothetical. He said it himself, 'Look how cute the babies are now that we're not having one!' I just hope and pray that him being open to kids is not going to be some bullshit roadblock to them being together. They already went down that road with Ted and Robin (really well, btw!); we don't need a rehash.
I'm not sure why they were so concerned with this ep. I thought it was great. But the way they talk about the direction of this season concerns me. I cannot imagine being invested in Barney MARRYING someone who wasn't Robin. We've already had this conversation, but he has gone through some massive growth and we actually got to see him fall for Robin - whether they intended to or not, they've made him (and brotp) the...I don't know how to describe it. Not the focal point. Or heart. But we CARE about the two of them. We watched them become friends, then flail around each other, then break each other's hearts and then see them grow back together. Barney had a 'Robin is my soulmate' moment a couple eps ago. Tonight, Robin imagined HAVING KIDS with Barney.
And now that I have worked myself into quite a state, I will stop. But yes - they MUST end up together.
Re: HG. I think Kate said it best when she said that Katniss's emotions shine through when she's not on guard. It's just that she's always on guard. *g*
I love it because they do eventually get it together, but oh, yeah, I get so frustrated with her. Like. She loves him. But whenever she realizes it, she tries to shut it down because a) she's told herself she'll never love anyone like that and b) if she was going to love someone like that - surely it would be Gale, right?
