I lack serious icons, shutup. Anyway.
SO. I live in Arizona; keep this in mind as you read on. It's October, AKA winter storm season. Rain, thunder, lightning, but I usually don't mind since that means snow for the high country and tourism money for my state.
There was hail this morning. A bit surprising, a little exciting, but I was indoors. And most storms last about 5-10 minutes. They are short, but they hit very, very hard.
Later today, I was at the college, waiting for my mom to pick me up after class. While waiting outside, this gray cloud loomed... and loomed... and loomed. I finally got my common sense together and headed back for the inside when it hit. Rain, hail, and wind came bearing down on me all at once. I couldn't see, I kept getting hit by tree branches and hail and just. Everything. I finally got the the building and was let in by the people sitting inside watching the hail rain down.
I immediately got asked if I was okay. And I knew why, after looking at myself in the mirror. I had leaves all over my face and dirt on my shirt from the trees. I was bleeding from my arms and neck from where the hail hit me. My head and my shoulder both hurt from being hit by hail and I was. Just. Soaked.
I was never more scared in that period from when I was outside to when I finally got inside the building. Being out in a storm like that... I literally thought I was going to die. My mom eventually found me, I came home, took a shower and ate... and here I am.
So. Break from the ordinary at least. And aside from my head and shoulder being sore, and the cuts, I'm fine.
Fucking hail.
almost ded,
fucking hail,
fffff weather
