Gangster Parents

These days, I feel like I have to be a gangster parent in order to deal with Dominic's school teachers.

If there are some issues, which I tell Dominic to let the teacher know and get her to call me if any problem, he will come back and tell me the teacher was going to give him a 'Stop' stamp (like demerit point) and refused to listen to his explanation. I have been hearing a lot of 'I don't care', 'No excuse' responses from Dominic's teachers. They said to him, of course, not me. An example is the 'healthy snack' episode.

The most recent was the plastic bag episode. Dominic came home today to tell me that the Chinese teacher threatened to give him a 'Stop' stamp if he didn't bring the plastic bag. I asked him whether he told the teacher why he didn't bring (cos I said 'no' and get teacher to call me if there is an issue about this). He said the teacher refused to listen to him.

I am pissed by the fact that the teachers seem to be so fond of the 'I don't care', 'I don't want to listen', ' no excuses' response. Is there a 'How to Fend Off Pupils' course in NIE? I don't want to call the school up for every little thing so I thought it was better for messages to be conveyed via Dominic. If the teachers think there is a problem, then it is easier for them to call me than for me to call them. If they have a tendency to turn a deaf ear towards the children, then I have no choice but have to call them.
