involves curves & selective coloring.
This is only the second tutorial I've ever made, so please tell me if theres anything you need explaining on or if it doesn't make sense!
1. Open your base, crop it and prep it the way you usually would. I used this picture of Hayley from Paramore.
2. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Curves. Set it to:
RBG:
Input: 110
Output: 145
Input: 130
Output: 173
Reds:
Input: 125
Output: 145
2. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color and set it to:
Reds:
C: +100
M: +15
Y: -20
B: +10
Yellows:
C: +100
M: +100
Y: +100
B: +100
Blues:
C: +100
M: 0
Y: 0
B: 0
Magentas:
C: 0
M: +100
Y: 0
B: 0
Whites:
C: -60
M: +20
Y: 0
B: -5
Nuetrals:
C: +15
M: +5
Y: -10
B: +65
3. Insert a new layer and use the paint bucket tool to fill it in with a dark blue (#040321). Set it to exclusion at 100%.
4. Duplicate your base layer and drag it to the top. Desaturate (shift+ctrl+u) and set to soft light at 50%.
And you're done :]
