You're not alone in the "bitter old person" club. I make it a point to avoid humanity as much as possible. I don't like sitting next to children in restaurants because the parents think it's cute to let them scream and run around my table when I'm trying to eat. I don't like it when people talk on cell phones around me because they just sound loud, ignorant, and full of self-importance. I don't like teenagers because they're obnoxious, I don't like women because they are catty, I look at men with suspicion when they give me a compliment. The list goes on. I'll be the old lady with the cats.

It's probably both, but I'm going to put most of the blame on the world that's spinning to hell in the handbasket. It's much easier on the ego.
