[ It must've been hard, making it all the way up to this place. You've had to go through a lot of obstacles and collect the right people, but it looks as though it's going to pay off, at last. ]
[ The worst part of your journey's over. Welcome to the moon. ]
[ It starts off on the blue horizon, just a wavy shape - a tiny black stone. It doesn't so much approach as become closer every time you close your eyes to blink, gaining detail and size like it's just standing in place and expanding out of the horizon. It doesn't stop until she's in front of you, looming over you. If there were shadows in this place, you'd be trapped in hers.
Prithvi is tall, taller than the tallest one amongst you, with an unusually long body and an enchanting face. Her fingers - about one joint longer than they ought to be - are braced around the familiar roulette table she has sitting in front of her. It can't have come from anywhere but the Casino in Nuadoria; because the blood spatters are right where they should be, dried into the fabric and the smooth polished wood. You'd be right in wondering what it's doing here, of all places.
It's been modified a little bit from its original incarnation. Unlike the normal numbered red and black squares the ball would fall in, all of the spaces are cloudy and grey, like smoke trapped under glass. ]
All of you have come as you had said you would, then. The right number, the right elements. I suppose you can be forgiven for taking your time.
No doubt you must be wondering what you are doing here.
[ She gives you all good long look before she starts again. If you look very carefully when she speaks, you might notice that the end of her tongue has a cleft. ]
Former Magister Kaden has broken the Magister's runes; reality within Nuadoria has consequently shifted with the change in power. Naturally, this is no concern of mine. This is my element, after all. [ She smiles unpleasantly. ] ... But given that you are here at Lily's behest, and given that you have tried so very hard to make right the precious state of the world, I have found it in my heart to indulge you. As long as you can entertain me.
The game is simple. As you are under the Magister's protection, I wish to see what sort of impression they have placed upon you. You shall turn the roulette, the ball will land where it will, and I will ask a question. If you give me an answer I wish to hear, I will return a piece of a broken rune. If you fail to provide a pleasing answer, I will consume you. We shall play until there are no rune pieces remaining, or none of you remaining.
You may proceed with questions before the game, but when you come to turn the roulette, the game will begin. You may consult each other freely about your answers. There is officially no time limit, but if you intend to drag the matter on indefinitely, there will be consequences.
With that clarified,
[ She spreads her arms. ]
You may proceed.
[ OOC: And this is how it works!
All tags are action log style, but don't worry about just having replies with a few lines of dialogue. Prithvi's responses will also be primarily dialogue and occasional action.
This isn't just for the moon group. Prithvi is speaking to the people who made it to the moon specifically, but their arrival has now opened the Gate on the ground; any character from the ground is now welcome to come through the Gate and get involved, and may answer a question if they wish to help. If your character is in a log right now but you still want to be involved, don't worry! Throw them in anyway; it can be assumed to have happened afterwards.
Although it's technically a group log, you don't have to log in sequence and take turns. You can all make your own individual threads in response to the post. They'll be assumed to happen in the order the threads are made, and although you'll be speaking to Prithvi for most of it, other people are welcome to join your thread if they want to discuss things with the other character or respond to anything Prithvi might say. You're all in this together, so don't worry about overstepping.
Prithvi won't tell you how many pieces of rune are left, because I just want you guys to play for as long as you're being entertained and I don't want to put a limit on how many people can join Prithvi's game.
As for what Prithvi's looking for and the kind of questions you'll get asked... well. 8')
Also, if you wanted to drop a character/get them killed off horribly, I'll be making a link in the OOC shortly for general discussion and OOC questions and stuff. ]
