{When the world is a-rockin, don't come a-knockin}

Who: Elena, Scarlet [ the_man_eater]; also including anybody sending calls, texts, or shows up.
When: Post-Earthquake
Location: WRO Office, Edge
Rating: PG
Summary: Elena suffers from really bad karma and Scarlet is there to join in on the fun.

Was this karma or just another link in the chain of Elena’s bad luck. Things has started on a decent foot, having been sent out with Cissnei to retrieve Shinra from Edge. Having played babysitting duty for the blonde leader, it was just another outing to make sure that he was kept well protected. Of course, it was still hard to serve the man who you secretly had a strong dislike for because he had written you off as dead in your greatest time of need. So, instead, she drowned out those thoughts with the constant reminder that there was hope and change. Hope that this sudden shift in world events could bring about a better tomorrow. Change was inevitable, and Elena hoped - as always - that it would be positive. Of course, there was never a guarrantee that it could or would happen. It was a matter of faith now, wasn't it?

Just moments after coming across Scarlet, the once Head of Weapons Development of Shinra during its glorious days, the world began to tremble. Although the direct location of where the earthquake begun was unknown, the power was still great enough to shake the barely standing buildings of Edge/Midgar, break the glass of windows, and knock over signs and lampposts. She had been in mid-conversation with the WRO Commissioner in an attempt to obtain a vehicle to return Scarlet to Junon when the tremor struck. Where it started as a light vibration, it escalated into a full-on quake with an alarming intensity. It took nearly all the balance Elena had to stay upright for as long as she did, stumbling over to Scarlet to protect from potential danger and debris. In the distance she could hear the creaking and crashing of older sections of Midgar, not yet renovated, as they fell into a larger mess of chaos and disarray.Time moved slow in instances like these, but when time finally caught up with itself it was met with a relieved sigh from the Turk, quickly followed by a series of coughs. Dust, mold, powdered concrete and ash, and Shiva knows what else that lay dormant in Edge and the Midgar remains had been blown up into the air and, like snow resting on whatever surface it touched, had laid a thin layer on the dark, navy blue suit. Patting at her arms sides, Elena turned her attention to her current protectee.

"Are you all right? Have you been hurt?"
