(
...For the most part. )
The girl nodded again in compliance to Shera's instructions, and made her way to the cutting board, eyes alight with anticipation. Her hand hovered over the smooth wooden handles of the cutlery next to it, settling on a large Santoku--it wasn't necessarily specialized for mincing, but she preferred its orthodox grip. (If anything, she could've done it with her katana, but she would've rather had it broken, than disgraced by putting it to culinary purposes.) The feel of the blade--...adaman? That's expensive...--brought back memories.
"Look Felicia! Look at what Daddy brought back from Wutai! Aren't these beautiful? Mommy will make you a delicious dinner! Wanna help? Don't let Daddy find out though, heehee~"
Elfé winced, but the moment passed as quickly as it had came, and she glanced back at Shera, who was still busy gathering ingredients.
"...Do you travel a lot?" She inquired, attempting to avert her attention away from the flashbacks as she began to cut up the first slab of meat. After a few deliberately slow trials (no need to dice off a finger by accident), her knife-work began to pick up its pace.

Sighing, Shera shook her head a little in worry and turned the water on to wash the dirt from the fresh produce. Of course she was glad that Aerith was back among them, with how hard her passing had been on Cid and all of their friends. The ribbons they all wore in her memory touched Shera, and though she had never properly met the girl, that alone spoke volumes to her of what a good friend she must have been to all of them. At the same time, though this sort of thing was unnatural. It meant there was something terribly wrong with the natural order of things, with the way the world had been made to work. Wasn't it much the same case with Meteor? And Geostigma, and then with Omega. Shera could only see this leading to cataclysmic events.
"You seem like quite the traveler, though," Shera picked up where she had left off, turning to smile over at Elfé. "Seen much of the world?"
