I'm sorry if my lack of updating has really bothered anyone, though I hope and believe it hasn't. For the record, I've wanted to update several times over the past couple of months, but my sense of fairness regarding LJ has stopped me. You all know that sometimes I can hardly find the time to go online at all, right? I first try to take care of ( Read more... )

I don't get how updating your LJ without reading others' is unfair, though I get the part about only reading/commenting on some. You update your LJ (not you; people in general) when there's been events in your life; you read others' when you ahve the time and mind frame to do so; usually with the exception of your closest friend(')(s)('). To be honest I actually prefer shorter, more frequent entires in a person journal because 1) it's a lot to read when you update infrequently and 2) the person, or at least you, will be factuially and vaguely telling events in your lie, so you ("I") cannot concentrate on the person's feelings when they have them. Of course it's your LJ and you can do whatever you want; I'm not trying to tell you how to write it or suggesting you do so or anything; it was in response to how you believe it is unfair to update your own journal without reading others'. I don't know how others feel, but I don't believe this is true and would actually prefer it if you didn't do that.

As it already told you, Beth didn't say anything about you in particular, or about anyone in particular, and she didn't trash anyone (or the group). She made one entry with the type of content I told you about, then made a second entry apologizing for overreacting and saying she would just cut people based on that other thing I told you. The reason I sent you that e-mail is because I know you, unlike most others, might be unlikely to see it because YOUR time and duty constraints are so heavy that you can't nessecarily check even every week, but that I also know you do want to stay updated and will comment when you can. However she did not trash anyone.

She said she DOES understand about life circumstances, but most people skim when they cannot read so they were able to comment on said entries enough to let her know they still read it and/or care. You are much busier with your online time then most people here.

Also knowing how you read journals, I apologize for Xanga not having the option to increse the amount of entries per page, as that means you either have to a) scroll through miles and miles of pages or b) miss more entries then you may want to when you read.

Sadly I have nothing to comment on on the part about your life; how it goes when it's all factual and already happened:P. PLEASE don't take this the wrong way I am NOT trying to telll you how to write your LJ. I hope that the person you talked to last night and/or you get better, or that you resolve your issues. Sorry for lack of a better comment on the "your life" part.

And no your lack of updating has not bothered me.

Well, I only feel people would think me unfair for updating, and then not commenting. I don't hold that against anyone else but myself
