So it's definitely time to upgrade from my current transportation. I'm having troubles finding what I want though because I haven't totally decided. I've come up with two major options: A) I keep what I currently have and use it as a spare/winter car and get myself a nice sporty convertible for the summer; B) Completely replace what I have now using the current car as trade in for some extra cash off.
Keeping this in mind, I'm still not sure what I want. I have expensive taste, I like nice things damnit but don't necessarily have the budget to get that. Ideally I'd like a nice Porsche convertible (my dream car since I was little) as a little have fun car but that isn't happening. I currently drive a Buick Regal so it's to me a semi-luxury car and I like that as a regular car as well. I figure I've got a max price of about $17k to throw out with what I've got for down payment and trade to get a monthly payment that I'm comfortable with. I want a reliable car, something that won't be breaking on me constantly, which means no shitty fords or chevys...I prefer import or higher end domestic lines. Want something fun, AWD, FWD, or 4WD. Something that isn't a COMPLETE gas guzzler but I don't mind mediocre gas mileage. I currently have my eye on a Buick Rendevous but I'm curious for other suggestions as I don't have access to Consumer Reports. Do you guys know any good cars that could fit into my budget range? Oldest I'm looking is 2000.
