I had 3 different dreams last night, all about the same person.. weird how that is, but possibly more weird how they all seemed to blend together for an ultimate point. Like someone was trying to tell me something. But if you know me, you know I read into dreams a lot, and they affect me mentally and emotionally for the day, if not longer.
Though I'm not going to describe the details of the dreams, it forced me to wonder why holding on to something is so important. Which caused me to go read some journals (including mine), and some poems.
The ones that stick out are my "Allegory of the Bird" (see below), and it's response, "Heart Work".
I wonder if anyone will ever remember those words 100 years from now. If anyone will stop and see the beauty there, the passion, the dreas. I don't even think I could name a handful of people that probably see the full beauty now. But what really caused me to dwell on this was, will anyone ever realize that one responds to the other? Will that act of our lives be forever left out of the script? Will we ever be rememered at all? Or more unlikely, remembered together?
Perhaps this is just me not 'living in the moment' .. which is why I wanted to post this poem I wrote a week or two ago.. I always seem to write something just before a epiphany comes.. and then the poem means that much more.

if the world follows fortune,
and crowds seek after fame,
who owns all our attention?
where do the different feel the same?
if happiness is just the sum,
of what you have and what you'll get,
is it possible to be owing,
life for all of your regrets?
why try to hold on to the moment,
when it can never last,
but what's the point of looking forward,
if we can't solve our past,
where is our contentment,
where does our fame and fortune end?
is it something we leave gaping,
or is it impossible to mend.
