Summary: She had found him, and wasn't about to lose him again.
She shouldn't be here.
Kairi should be safe back on Destiny, not here in this place. Riku had been unprepared to hear her voice again, after all of of this time, since the door had closed so long ago...How long had it been? He could hardly remember.
But now she was here, really and truly. Riku had missed her and Sora so much in this time, even though his resolve to do what needed to be done when other's couldn't was absolute. But this had not been in the plan, not in anybody's, to be fair, but all the same...
He practically flew from the wall surrounding the city back over to the bridges, leather of his Organization coat catching the wind as he did so. It doesn't take him long at all to make it there, and the teenager stops when he feels Kairi's aura on the bridge below.
For a moment, he wants to take the blindfold off, but his good sense pulls him back in after a moment when he realized his hand was already straying that way. It was there for a reason--more than one, to allow him to lie as well as to protected yet-unadjusted eyes to the world.
And Finally, finally he drops to the ground lightly and moves to walk onto the bridge. He's different as well, Riku knows this, but his hair, at least, was unmistakable.
