Notes: ANYONE is welcome. Prose or brackets. I'm just having Katherine start it off, but feel free to have your very own thread. This is a party-post of sorts. It's at the Lux and there are plenty of wines and platters of small bits

Meanwhile Cas is among the group of others sampling wine.

Castiel still didn't quite get it. He'd come, mostly to loiter and wait for the Winchesters or their group but had stumbled upon something entirely different and confusing.

"Why should I spit?" He didn't understand the purpose.

The laugh that came from behind Cas is low and a bit throaty. Faith's been drinking for a while.

"Wait - why would we spit it out?" Faith had heard about the free alcohol, but she isn't aware of all the rules that go along with a tasting. She's just happy to be able to drink.

"I was told that was what needed to be done," Cas turned around his eyes falling on the shorter brunette.

Faith shrugged, taking another long swallow of the wine and not spitting it out.

"Seems like a waste to just taste it and not drink it. Who says you gotta follow all the rules in this place anyway?"

Castiel looks into the contents of his own glass before reconnecting with her gaze.

"I merely inquired as to its purpose," he remarked flatly. "I agree with you." He took another long drink of the red wine in his hand to punctuate it.

"Oh. Well, I guess it's because it's a tasting and they don't want you to get drunk." Not that Faith minded; it was free and there seemed to be plenty of it.

"It would take more than what is offered here to intoxicate me," he remarks deadpan but offers her an awkward looking smile all the same. It's still an expression that's unusual to him.

The awkward smile makes her smirk a bit. That attempt at being normal definitely an obvious thing.

"Is that a challenge?"

His brows are quick to knit, and he drops the fluted glass to his waist as he gives her a cautious glance. "No."

"Shame," she replies with a shrug. "Could'a made something fun outta this thing after all."

[letmetouchit]

"I understand why the consumption of alcohol is fun," he goes onto say. "But my tolerance is above that of a normal human." He didn't think she'd win.

Faith nods, "Yeah? How above normal human are you talking?"

[letmetouchit]

His shoulders tense some, "I'm an angel of God."

[msattentionspan]

She laughs, then she realizes he's serious.

"Damn. That's some official business."

[letmetouchit]

He nods once, "I hadn't expected to be called here," and that much was true. "But given that time halts... I suppose, things aren't so bad."

"Hey, could be worse, right?" She nudges her elbow to him, not even noticing the threat of a fairy getting closer to them.
