He had been watching for her. Watching in that way he does-- he'd gotten good at it in recent months, casting his mind like a loose-knit net over the crowd of the city. Like the strands of a spiderweb, waiting for one very particular presence to tug a certain strand.
It wasn't terribly hard to notice her, really, once she got close enough. Instantly, she was a little familiar piece of sharp-edged glass. And, she'd never know, but a blank-eyed boy had been sent to verify-- watching her from across the street as she looked in windows. Watching her stance, noting that she was alone.
Perfect.
So, he slipped right in, that monotone recognizable even when whispering through her mind.
"I personally like the one with the white buttons. I believe they are mother-of-pearl."
Asuka nearly jumped out of her skin. It felt like something cold touched the back of her neck, and she garnered several curious looks from those passing in the opposite direction when she stopped dead in her tracks, looking around wildly. She knew that voice. But that familiar figure wasn't around.
"Where the hell are you!?"
Oh, she sure looked crazy, yelling in the middle of the sidewalk.
"Poor terms?! That's an understatement if I ever heard one! Don't tell me you're trying to make nice!"
She wasn't sure how Zelman stood with him now, but Asuka was in no mood to kiss and make up. She spun around, looking for something, anything. She didn't care that she was looking pretty psychotic.

He watched her for a moment more, leaving a pause between her frantic question and his reply.
"I wanted to pay you a visit. I felt we left things on poor terms."
