She wasn't very impressed, and that was plain on her face even as the girls closed their journals. Knee-deep in some of the shallower water with her hands on her hips, she stood there.
"Bad place to get lost, girls," she called.
If the businesslike gesture of her hand didn't give it away, the practical cut of her dark hair and the tactical gear over her black tank and leggings spoke volumes of how serious she was.
She waited for them to come to her, eyes narrowed behind her black domino mask.
