Gaara was distracted by the sudden appearance of the rainbow, never having been privy to any of Gai's infamously well backlit speeches before. Lee's, while they certainly weren't lacking in gusto, hadn't gotten quite to that fevered pitch. While he had been talking to Gaara, anyway.

The Kazekage could barely fathom it's existence, refracted light blossoming across the sky without provocation, before the tail end of the Gai's onslaught of words (something that might be considered a conversation, but almost wholly one-sided in nature) caught his attention again. He blinked slowly.

"Me?" he asked, brow furrowing. He'd never been described as youthful before... Or anything similar, to be fair, because not many people were big into throwing that word around anymore. It was mostly just a Gai and Lee thing, as far as he could tell.

Either way, it was an odd thing to consider.

He paused for awhile, before bringing his arms up to cross over his chest again. He had been trained in Taijutsu before, of course, but he'd let his skills grow incredibly rusty over the years in which they had been useless to him in the face of his superior sand control jutsus. Anywhere else it wouldn't matter, but this place had already made it clear that things could be different. This had better be worth it.

"... if you say so," he finally settled on, before unhooking the clasps that held his gourd up against his back. It would just get in the way, during physical training.
