Seifer just stood there rather quietly, leaning against the wall opposite Squall's room with his arms crossed, looking on. A smirk had made itself right at home on his face (then again, wasn't that how it went so very often?) as Selphie knocked away at Squall's door. Seifer never thought that he'd be doing this - standing outside his [former] rival's door, waiting for the guy to answer so he could drag him out to a bar to drink on his birthday. Much less than that did he expect he'd be in the company of Selphie. Then again, he hadn't known her very well at all before Paradisa, so it wasn't like he could make a proper judgment. The only time he saw her was in battle, back when-

Yeah, no need to think about that now.

Point was, this was not a situation he'd envisioned himself a part of, but hey ... for all the years he'd known Leonhart, he'd never once known the taciturn jackass to loosen up. Back home, he likely wouldn't have done this, but Paradisa was different; it was like a second chance for him, an opportunity to start over after the mess he'd made back home. Leonhart's memory loss was somewhat of advantage, too - he didn't remember him, so he couldn't remember how badly he used to harass him. Not like Seifer was going to do a 180 and be best pals with him now, but he'd ease up a bit ... though of course he'd still pick on him some, because that's just what Seifer did.

After a series of knocks (and for a while there, Seifer thought he'd left anyway, suspecting something was up), there he was ...

... and there he went.

"Son of a bitch slammed the door on us!" he exclaimed, pushing up off the wall and walking across the hall to Squall's door. "Well, fine, tw- three can play at that game."

And so, Seifer began pounding on the door. After a second, he looked down over at Selphie. "C'mon, Messenger Girl. Give it all you got! We're not givin' up without a fight!"
