He'd been alerted by one of the clinic staff as soon as Watanuki had shown signs of stirring, as he'd requested. Having gotten the okay to be there from Zelman before, Murphy had immediately made his way down to the first floor and parked himself in a chair on the far side of the room Watanuki was in.

He sat silently, arms resting on his knees and his fingers laced together in front of his face, obscuring most of the expressions that flickered across the vampires features. Guilt. Anger. Fear. Guilt again.

A tiny flicker of movement brought his attention back to the bed where Watanuki lay, but he didn't move or speak. He felt cold and jittery all of a sudden, no doubt fear causing an adrenaline spike in his system. He waited for someone else to notice, too afraid to speak up.

Zelman hadn't really moved much in the twenty-four hours or so that Watanuki had been out. Some of the advantages to being a vampire were things like quick regeneration, a great deal of patience, and fact that he didn't really need sleep. The disadvantages were... Well, situations like this.

He'd kept his post right next to Watanuki. He'd nodded acceptingly in Murphy's direction when he'd entered, but that was about all. He kept his face towards Watanuki, his hands propped up by his elbows and folded in front of his mouth. His eyes would flicker occasionally towards Murphy, but only to get a sense of what he was thinking. He wasn't psychic on any accounts, but live a thousand years, and you learn things.

Watanuki stirred and Zelman shifted posture for the first time in hours. Seeing as Murphy made no moves, he figured it'd be his job to open things up. He smiled and said softly, "Good morning, Watanuki..."

Watanuki blinked and turned his head slightly towards Zelman. Now that he was more aware of his surroundings (the lack of inscence had long left his thoughts), he wondered how long Zelman had actually stayed there.

But ow, his neck felt stiff.

"Zelman?" he paused slightly before smiling tiredly back, "... Morning?"

The teen blinked again before noticing the other person sitting by his bed. Turning his head slowly (because he still remembered what happened everytime he moved quickly while lacking blood), and looked at Murphy.

"...?"
