Interconnecting journals! I love it, that's brilliant! That's--ah, not why I'm here.

PEOPLE OF THE CASTLE. I seem to have lost someone upon arriving here, and would lovelovelove your help in finding her so I can get going. A rather attractive young medical student who goes by the name Martha Jones was with me, and now she's quite... not. She's--oh ( Read more... )

I wander 'round here lots so I'll keep an eye out for her.

Martha Jones? I'll remember! (An' I like your drawin' ... it's cute!)

You're welcome ... Doctor ... who now?

Perfect! Thank you. I'd love to have as many people as I can round here on the lookout; jiffies things up.

Just the Doctor. And who might you be?

Nah, I'm a bit of a freelancer, really.

Pleasure, Kaylee! Now, er, could you tell me exactly where - and when - we are? Not sure I recognize it. Well--looks a bit like a medieval castle, but the folks round here are screaming incongruity.

((OOC: Aww! :D ♥))

Freelancer ...

What kinda jobs then?

Oh we're in a castle an' this whole place is called Paradisa. Incongruity?

Well I know in just the friends I got that we're all from different places an' times. Like ... up 'til today I was the only one knew of Earth-that-Was an' the Alliance an' the 'Verse. Some people ain't seen a bit of technology 'fore an' others are ... demons an' such.

Actual demons.

Don't know how but this place been pullin' us from every time an' place it can get to ...

Oooh, a good multitude all over the place. Don't really know much about medicine, though.

Paradisa? Certainly odd that I've never heard of it. I'll have to map it in on the scanner when I leave. Of course, after getting a better look around here. ... After I find Martha. Maybe stay for tea.

Pulling people from time and space? A single place in the universe? I don't think I've ever heard of that happening, not sure I'd believe it if I did. Maybe with some kind of spatial shift, like a spontaneous wormhole or something, 'porting people through... of course, if a place had enough energy built up, it's... ah, sorry! Earth-that-Was?

((OOC: Shit! Mental dictionary switched 'incongruity' with... some word that escapes me. He meant they don't seem to go together. Aha. Yeah.))

Really? That's new ... a doctor what don't know much 'bout medicine.

Paradisa. Never heard of it either. Closest "P" place I heard of is Persephone cos we'd dock there a lot. Good luck gettin' outta here though. Ain't no one been able to do it an' some people've been here WAY longer than me.

Tea? Ya like drinkin' tea too? Shiny! The tea's real good here. Haven't had one I didn't like yet [scribbled smiley face]

Yea, snatchin' us right up an' bringin' us here. Spati- ... wor- ... er yea Earth-that-Was. 's big in the history of the 'Verse I'm from. That story's got them leavin', terraformin' places, an' all sorts of stuff. If you're into history then it's kinda cool. Me, I ain't into history ... fixin' ships is what I do best!

... SPACE ships. Lots of people here don't know space ships none.

Well, not all doctors are medical doctors, are they? Could be a professor, someone with a doctorate in... I dunno, phenomenology, a dentist, a chiropractor, or someone who really has nothing to do with any of those and just likes the name.

Bah, they've never met me before! I've been in stickier messes than being stuck on a planet. That should be a piece of cake.

Yes! Tea. Beautiful, I'll get on finding some. Magic stuff, that.

Fascinating! I'll have to look into--hold on a tick, you fix space ships? Oh, amazing. If I wasn't the only person able to fix mine, I'd have you on it in a second.

True ... don't know much 'bout them kinda doctors since I never got a lot of schoolin'.

You find a way out you'd be the first. If ya find a way out ... send a wave to a ship called Serenity tellin' 'em I'm okay

Tea's a real good drink. Fixes just 'bout anythin' hurtin' a person. An' no one's gonna turn down havin' tea an' snacks!

I fix space ships, shuttles, generators, all sorts of things. Helped Wash build the mule ('s a 4-wheeled land vehicle ... kinda like a big bike an' we can hook up a flatbed to it for transportin' cargo).

[if blush could be transcribed, this would be where it'd go]
Oh ... it ain't that big a deal. 's just somethin' I can do. Always got told I got a natural talent for fixin' things.

Y-you got a space ship too?? Shiny! Oh what's she like?

Oh, forget that! If this place is full of people who are here against their will, I can assure you I'll find a way to get you all back. Somehow. It could take a while. But I'll think of something!

Mm, love tea. Saved my life once. Well, not so much my life as the whole of planet Earth, but.

Brilliant! I haven't run into a female space ship mechanic in... a long time, but every one I've come across has been positively amazing. You've got my respect, madam.

Oh, the TARDIS type 40 TT capsule. She's beautiful, she is. A bit old, but aged to perfection. Don't know what I'd do without her.

I hope ya figure it out ...

Tea saved the whole Earth?!

Oh why um ... thanks!

Hmmm, never heard of that one 'fore. Bet she really is beautiful. Sounds like Serenity a bit there. Serenity don't look like much but she's real nice. Love her lots. Serenity's a Firefly Class 03-K64 transport.

Well, missy, I hope I do too.

Absotively. Well, actually, it's a long story that has to do with free radicals and tannin and synapses, but. In the long run, the Earth was saved.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with that type of ship, either. Look at us, both ship-lovers and neither of us know what the other is talking about. But Serenity, eh? Nice name.

Maybe cos where we're from we ain't got the other person's ship type there? Confusin' but ...

Cap'n named her! Her name ain't the only nice thing 'bout her. It kinda fits though ... was always calm workin' on the engine

... unless we was gonna almost crash again.
