Twenty Third Song

I'm telling you, guys. I'm not sure if getting used to being turned human whenever the castle feels like it is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm starting to miss the green again, though.

But hey, I get to stay in a bar so I'm not complaining. The last thing I want is to go back to farming. Just thinking about it gives me the heebie-jeebies.

[sighs] How are you surviving in the town that progress forgot?

Mostly? I stay in the nice, safe brothel and live on the food and alcohol inside.

It's a strange and disturbing sight, Hon'. It's like taking all the shiny stars off the best wrapping paper money can buy.

Where are you, anyway? I'm in Winchester. I've been too busy to look around much.

I'm in Winchester, too. In the bar-slash-place-certain-types-of-gentlemen-visit.

Farming is a form of medieval torture, isn't it?

I'll say, Sweetpea. It reminds me waaaay too much of the place I grew up in.

They use this as torture in whatever netherworld you're from?

mysticalvender June 26 2009, 19:14:12 UTC
No, they use it to live. I never really fit in with that lifestyle. Oh...err, any of it.

It is easier to become accustomed to if it happens more regularly, perhaps.

Hello, Lorne.

At least we know it's only a week before it all goes back to normal, right?

Hey, D. How're things going for you?

That is the hope.

[He pauses.] It is very difficult to be separated from York. However, I find that I am well-suited to me work at the bank.

Aww, well, you'll be back together again before you know it, the inseparable duo you are. The bank, huh? Not been robbed by the idiot brigade yet?

I miss working with you. How've you been?

I miss having you around, too, Pete. This place isn't much for the karaoke inclined. I'm good, though. Could have landed a lot worse. How're you?

Not too bad, I guess. [a pause] Our estate was apparently robbed, and Nathan and I both somehow missed it.

Really? So they have actually managed to steal something, then?

[Thinks on that] I sure hope they don't try here. For their sake. Bad Girl's here.
