Comparing different magic systems, studying languages, looking for common themes in the overall mythologies of worlds similar to my own, trying to guess peoples' special abilities, taking care of my pet, shopping in town, analyzing the architecture of the castle, trying to discover the true nature of this place, and planning an expedition to see what lies beyond the mountains.

Honestly, I don't see how one could get bored around here.

Sorry, but the whole... thing is kind of hard to adjust to. Especially given that my... job, sort of speak? Didn't involve that much research at times.

Ah, I see. Well, there is always the option of observing other combat styles and trying to learn all-new techniques. I can guarantee there are extremely skilled warriors from many worlds here.

I suppose if you're looking for a friendly fight, you won't go wrong with that Deathmatch bar on the second floor.

Ugh. I'll... keep that in mind. Sorry, but I kind of like my athletics.

Huh, you mean that one that Travis runs?

[How can you not find that interesting??? Oh well.]

That's the one. Although you may have luck just asking for sparring, as you did.

Heh. I guess we'll see with that. Honestly? Just as long as I avoid that guy, I'm fine.

The castle is large enough that avoiding one specific person is not usually a problem.

[Or maybe Mithos is just a hermit and Raine is lucky that way.]

Oh, sure.

Unless somehow you have friends of the person you want to avoid! Then that's another problem entirely.

You may be surprised. Many of my friends also count the one I would rather avoid as a friend, yet we've been able to go this long without contacting each other.

I wish I had that luck, but friends of someone I care to avoid haven't been so forthcoming.

Ah, my apologies, then. [Is totally not mentioning that she's one of Vergil's friends too. Sorry, Lady.] Perhaps you can still interact normally with them by simply avoiding the subject?

[That's a GOOD IDEA, Raine]

Sure. If they don't pester me, I'm fine.
