Is everyone excited? [a beat] Oh! For the Speed Dating this Saturday! It's going to be a lot of fun and there's going to be free drinks and if you're into karaoke? Then Caritas is your place! [She's really excited for this.]
Also, for anyone that's never been to speed dating, I promise it's not going to hurt at all. You just fill out a simple card and then you get to meet a lot of new people. Maybe some people you already knew, but hopefully some new people. [She's trying to sound convincing, because she really wants a lot of people to go.]
In fact, if you know someone that might need to branch out a bit, you should recommend they go to this! [She's not openly encouraging people to sign each other up... but you know she wouldn't know any better.]
It's supposed to be casual. We'll have the cards available to pick up from today until the very day of the event. You can even walk in the door that night and fill one out. You could do your friend a favor and help them fill their card out, too.
Anyway, I hope to see a lot of you on Saturday. If you still have questions, you're welcome to ask. I'm going to be available over the journal all the way up to six in the evening, that's when people should start showing up.
So... yep. Speed Dating. Super fun.
