Reading a little about this holiday, it looks like today is the day traditionally spent worshiping the Gods. [A pause.] Whichever ones you happen to be familiar with, of course

What do you mean?

Which gods. I've heard about lots of different ones.

[daine]

Any, I suppose.

[waterproofed]

Well, I know about the Roman and Greek gods. And then that guy told me about the gods Raven and Bear, though I haven't met those yet.

[daine]

I haven't read too much on any of those. I suppose my world has its own Gods.

[waterproofed]

Makes sense. You think this world has its own gods somewhere?

[daine]

That's not something I'd like to hope for. Gods are supposed to watch out for people, and I think, if there are any here, they could be doing a much better job of it.

[waterproofed]

The gods I know don't always watch over things very well. Some... even purposefully screw you up. [not that he's bitter or anything]

[She sighs a bit.]

You're right. A lot of them back home don't bother to worry about mortal affairs much.

[waterproofed]

Except when it's super-important stuff that affects the whole world or something.

[daine]

Or their pride.

[waterproofed]

Well, yeah. That too.

It seems they're more similar than I had thought.

[waterproofed]

Maybe it's just a god thing that holds true no matter what world you're from.

Something like that would honestly not surprise me.
