Flynn Lives Headquarters

[Now THAT is a big door. Alan's back to his old self, though he's calling his coworker Ram and being called Tron. What's this Flynn Lives thing, anyway? You can also look around through the confidential files; they're not all about ENCOM, you know.]

[Hmmm. Yes. That is a big door. A very big and interesting looking door. And look, it has a scanner thingamabob. Eleven bops on over and scans his fancy ID card. He has no idea if it will do anything or not, but there's no harm in trying, right? RIGHT?!]

[No harm in trying UNLESS SECURITY COMES AND KICKS YOU OUT. The door slowly swings open, and Avatar-Alan looks up from a folder he'd been flipping through in front of his computer. He's older than the avatar Eleven met in the sea of cubicles.]

Welcome to the Flynn Lives HQ, Doctor. [Is he surprised? Not really - though it is his head after all.]

[Eleven looks at the badge before clipping it back to his lapel. He was a little surprised that that actually worked. He walks in, looking around]

Hullo, Alan. Flynn Lives? [He peers at him, curiously.]

[Helping with Tron definitely earned both Doctors brownie points.]

Well, he'd be alive here - but in my world, he disappeared in '89. He was presumed dead, but many of us disagree. Flynn lives in all of us who believe, and we do our best to make sure ENCOM remembers that.

[He smiles as he strolls around, peeking at files here and there. What? He's nosy.]

It's an admirable goal. I take it the remainder of ENCOM doesn't agree?

[Avatar-Alan doesn't seem to mind too much. The Doctor has clearance after all.]

Hah. They've long since renamed the line of Flynn Operating Systems, and they're far more concerned with profit growth than economic development.

[He shakes his head] A shame, that. What happened? Did you ever find out?

[He shakes his head.] Not until I got here and was told. I did get a page the night before I got here and sent Sam to the arcade to investigate...

So I suppose I'll find out again when I go back.

[hulloeverything]

A page? [He raises an eyebrow] What year are you from?

[He narrows his eyes for a moment, then chuckles. Sam has given him crap for the pager, and even Avatar-Alan knows it's out of date.] It was 2010 when I got here. The pager's from the 80's.

[hulloeverything]

[he laughs, grinning] Oh that's brilliant!

[He deadpans, although good-humoredly:] I'm glad I'm amusing you.

[hulloeverything]

Come now, I do think it's brilliant! not many would keep something like that around, let alone keep it working. You should see some of the things I've got laying around the TARDIS.

[Heh. Too bad it's gone.] Thanks. I was told to sleep with it, after all. It was the least I could do.

Oh? Like what? [What has the time-traveling alien kept with him?]
