Rather than it being empty, the entrance hall and armouries filled to the brim with people. Specifically a lot of women. Courtesans parade around, giggling and flirting with men, pretty girls in beautiful renaissance dresses, some of them even wearing Carnivale masks

[Damian is a fucking snoop, so he's checking out the rooms of people he just barely knows. There's never been a better time to snoop, right? And holy shit, lots of cleavage on those dresses, is he ten or what?

EXPLORING AHOY.

He starts to step through the door. Or he would be, if Steph wasn't coming up right behind him.]

[Awkward. Going into people's... whatevers this was. At the very least, Steph could tell all of this was personal, and it probably wasn't a good idea to let Damian run around to do whatever he wanted.]

[He moves away from her and starts ducking through the crowd. Being small and short helps him sneak through the gaps between all those voluminous skirts. He calls back:]

No, I know this guy. [Sort of.] I'm going to figure out more about him.

This is an invasion of privacy, whether--oof, excuse you--you know him or not! [And now begins the struggle to not trip over anyone's dress and not lose sight of Damian.]

[Continuing up the stairs, suddenly above her, though his eyes aren't on Steph -- they're on something happening in the crowd, or something that was happening in the crowds. There's a smirk on his face.]

The door was open.

[She glances behind her to see if she can see what it is he's looking at (probably boobs... he is ten, after all), then continues on after him.]

I bet yours is, too.

[He waits on the stairs for her. Might as well, if she's coming with.]

So? MINE is too confusing for anyone to get through. [He hopes, anyway.] I'm going to see what's in this guy's mind.

[She reaches him, frowning.]

Why are you so interested in him?

Last time he was here, I was the first person he met. I hated him. But then we started playing rooftop tag and I discovered he has similar training to mine.

[He grabs her arm to drag him after her.]

And we're going to find out what kind of assassin he is.

[She makes a little 'hrk' sound as she's dragged, and then stumbles after him.]

That's totally normal. And definitely the sort of brain you want to run around in.
