[Back in the library once more. Unfortunately, the books lose their appeal once Weiss can't understand them. This is a bit of a problem. With some help from his knowledge of the past, a..bit more (stuff like programming) and a dictionary, he's picking up English fairly quickly. But he decides to test a few things out

At the very least, I should not have to look through three dictionaries to find the correct translation of one mere word!

[You'd think with a library as big as this, there's got to be a book that could simply translate future language to past language. But language evolved a bit too much over the years...]

The current...linguistic situation is making this far more difficult.

It is a bit more troublesome when these languages are at least a thousand years old.

Perhaps we are this place's source of power.

[It makes sense, to him. Just like how dreams are fueled by words, this place is fueled by people's emotions. It would make the 'losses' and the changes that incite people's emotions make sense.]
