[Peace Patrol Headquarters]
[Meeting time! Everyone come in, mingle, greet the newbies. Yuan's sitting at the front of the room, surrounded by more papers than usual, and looking...particularly grim? That seems strange, considering that they've won the big fight.
Haven't they? ...Maybe he's just tired.]

Are we going to have swing shifts and the ability to switch out should we need to be away from the jailing centers for a time?

[Was still sorta hanging off to the side of everyone else, but this topic got his attention long enough for him to speak up. Which at least confirmed that Rookie hadn't fallen asleep yet - not that he intended to.]
Might also be able to do a little more than four hours, if you need it.

The sooner the better is right! Leroy's been in there for what, two, three months now? When this could have been solved way earlier. He even practically turned himself in, to begin with.
[there's a little huff, before she continues]
And there's probably no one who could serve as a jury for the trial for Riful or Arthas or Legato, but what evidence do we even need to present? Even if people don't believe they're responsible for all of those murders of townspeople, they obviously wanted everyone dead. There's no point in even having a trial - we just need a sentence.

There should always be a trial. Always. What if it was someone acting under the influence of the castle, or something else?
[he's got personal experience with this]

You're kidding me, right? Riful is a known problem in her own world, and she's been causing problems practically since she got here - and from the sounds of it, years beforehand in her own world, too. Legato's been causing problems for a long time here, too. Unless you're telling me he's been on a year long loss, or under a year long spell? Arthas was acting under the influence of his sword, that much is true - but we don't need a trial to know that. Just talk to Jaina and the Windrunners.
As for the others that were helping with the kidnapping, I guess it's a possibility, but I see no reason those three should have any kind of trial.

But if we make an exception for them, where does it stop? The next time something like this happens, and--and there's supposed to be a trial, what if someone says something like--I dunno--"Well, they've shown signs of this before, clearly they always meant to." And then it goes right back to everyone being thrown in jail without a chance to defend themselves.
[then he sits back, looking very uncomfortable and a bit surprised at himself]
It's just ... it's a slippery slope. I don't like it.
