Opening the door to the house, Legato steps into the doorway and breathes. A long breath in, unbuckling the layered restraints of his mind, and then--as he exhales--he reaches...
Slithering into the crackling of every nervous system, seeking out the too-soft minds of the town-dwellers, he gathers them up by the dozens. Quickly hundreds. The chattering, the humming, all the buzzing town-sounds mumble to dead stop. He let's the silence sit a moment, enjoying such a perfect sound, before they all, as one, turn and begin to move-- leaving their homes and shops and lives to amass in the streets, and Legato soon joins them.
His mind swallows them up, dispersing with fervent abandon--intoxicating!--as the mob swells and fills the streets. Hundreds quickly become a thousand, then far beyond, and somewhere in them Legato's expression breaks-- first to a grin and then to catatonic nothing as his eyes swim through the crowd.
As a single-minded mass, the town picks up its feet, and heads for the castle.]
