[Felix double-checks the complex symbols chalked on the ground near the lobby entrance. It had to be right, or the wards wouldn't function properly. He's foregone his usual fancy coat, his shirtsleeves rolled up to his elbows to reveal the full gaudy extend of the tattoos on his arms.
After a long pause he kneels on the ground there and places his palms on the stone floor, his eyes shut tight. He is silent, looking more in a state of meditation than anything.
Suddenly the air seems to vibrant with a distant, sourceless hum as the symbols on the floor begin to glow. The lights in the lobby seem to flare momentarily before there is a final flash...and the symbols are gone.
With a sigh, Felix stands, brushing off his trousers, and goes to his journal.]

We arrive at a critical moment. To fight or perish to this monster and those she would call allies. I know I cannot say more than has been said already, but I do not know about most of you, but I do no intend to go quietly.
For those of you heading out to fight, I wish you luck.
Of course, not all of us are soldiers. I am not well versed in war, but I realize that there must always be a second line of defense. Should the fight go ill, we will need others back here to defend the castle.
To that cause I encourage anyone else who wishes to help to gather in the lobby. Wards are in place that will prevent, in the very least, elemental attacks and necromantic energy. If anyone feels the need to retreat at any time, this is the place for it.
Unless Riful herself come knocking, so to speak.
Pray that you keep her occupied.

As some of you, Xavier and a few of our other telepathy intend to distract him, but they will need some help to take him down, nor can you count completely on the idea that they can keep him occupied indefinably. I have devised a way [a slight pause] to ward your mind against Legato's telepathy. Hopefully this will provide an extra layer of defense and allow you to get close enough to do what is necessary.
