Markers, old and rusted but still doing their job, dot the water in front of you, providing a clear course for your ship to pass on through. It winds and turns a little, but you have some leeway to get your bearings on that wheel, captain. ]
[ Curiously, the path seems to be leading you toward another island, a much, much smaller one that's basically a mountaintop poking out from the water. It's marked on your chart with two simple words: Guns Ready! ]
[ The ship comes close to the little island, and the reason why you were warned to be ready becomes very clear. Screeching sounds from somewhere atop the isle, and just moments later, around 30 man-sized, winged shapes appear and fall into a dive, right at you. You might have some time to fire off a few shots, maybe even blow a couple out of the sky if your aim is terrific, but most of them are going to reach the ship: harpies, big and ugly, and with a smell beyond

[The fuse ignites readily and burns right down. Vriska gets the pleasure of watching it disappear into the fusehole, and she has a few seconds of not having her ears ring before BOOM.
The harpies scatter, but it looks like not fast enough. One of the flying hags takes a cannonball straight on and explodes into a gory mess of feathers and meat, the latter of which her sisters eagerly start tearing at in mid-air.]
[Oh shit! Oh shit oh shit oh shit! Okay, just keep packing it in there, Vriska! Shove it all up in there and make sure it's packed nice and tight and hard. (Not dirty!)
And then light that fuse, quickly! Just get one more shot in, it's cutting it close-- AAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!
