[ That had been.... an interesting loss. She supposed that was the best way to explain it.

She hadn't participated in a slaughter of that magnitude in... at least a century. And it had never been against people who couldn't defend themselves. Not since the first time...

Still, she was a villain. These were feelings--guilt, anguish-- that she had ( Read more... )

That's rather altruistic for a villain.

How so? To the casual observer you appear to be protecting the others.

I'm just making sure everybody knows I'm the villain.

You could have done so in several ways that would've made you come across even more villainous than you did. Why did you choose that particular method?

It's "honor among thieves."

Or something like that.

Only foals believe that. I see none of the others offering indirect shelter like you are.

Because none of them are originally villains.

They're all probably feeling like they need to repent for what the castle made them do. They'd probably be perfectly fine with people going to get retribution on them. [ Granted, she doesn't know them very well-- at least, when they're off of the loss-- but that's exactly what Abel would do, at least. ]

That's why I need to be the one to speak up.

And you do so in a way that places them under the umbrella of your protection. Willing to shed blood - potentially your own - for a group of vampires a 'proper' villain would find contemptuous for their repenting...

[A pause as Celestia ponders this.]

Are you sure you're a real villain? You didn't even claim them as your minions.

Hey now! I've been villaining longer than you've been alive! [ No she hasn't. ]

[a very amused chuckle]

Is that so?

That's right. I'm called "The Undying Mage" for a reason.

eastern_horizon June 11 2011, 03:09:07 UTC
...and yet you still called it 'villaining'.

They also call me "The Queen of Darkness." "Tidings of Evil." "Apostle of Destruction."

I have little interest in what others call you. What do you call yourself, my villanous vampire?
