8 traps filled - with garlic

[mostly, Ray's been stalking everything through the journals like a creeper, because he knows that proton wands don't do jack against living things. but they've made him a leader, and ... he's been tearing his hair out trying to figure out how you lead against something you know nothing about. finally, he decides it's probably time to just plain ( Read more... )

[Ironically enough Esther is in this division so she can see this filter even while on the loss.]

I was told Tony Stark was going to allow us to use his prisons to contain them. As for your question, unless that person is from my world any information they have is useless. We aren't dealing with mythical vampires.

Really? Wow, I guess I lucked out hearing from you, then! What should we do? I'm Ray, by the way, I don't think we met at the meeting.

I am Lady-Saint Esther. It's a pleasure to meet you even under these circumstances.

[She's ignoring the meeting bit. She can't afford to have an identity crisis right now.]

Their weaknesses are silver and UV light. It won't work on their commander though. Just his troops.

What about silver mesh netting? Would that weaken them enough to capture them? I am an excellent marksman and can use non-fatal shots with silver bullets, but if there are other effective options available to us, we ought to explore them.

That's...what I'm still trying to figure out as well. I'm trying to figure out how to use silver, but...

[a pause; wait Ray is smart like Komui right? Maybe he could...!]

Hey! In the future, is there a way to mimic sunlight?

Tanning lamps might work, they put out a high quantity of UV light ... but that's a long shot ... We'd need a bunch of 'em...

Tanning lamps?

Well anything that could help slow them down would be good! I don't want too much or it'd kill them...

Where I am from, UV lamps burn vampires. We'll need to be very careful in their usage/calibration.

We had an episode where a couples whackjobs decided to get their teeth filed and call themselves vampires.

...Why?

Reply

ectobabble June 7 2011, 18:52:07 UTC
Because we've got real ones, here, Pete. Dangerous ones.

So we shoot them with proton beams and send them back to the dark ages where they belong.

Not really, it's ... a little more complicated than that. You know how I told you this place takes memories and stuff from people? ... It can temporarily change 'em, too. A lot of the people that're vampires now? They weren't to start with, they were normal like you and me. And they'll be back to normal in a few days, and they'll feel awful about it.

So we've gotta come up with a way to slow 'em down without really hurting 'em.

Would the Dead Zone not still work?

... It might? It's just ... how do we get 'em out there without getting anyone else hurt?

What about friendly vampires? There has to be some not involved in this that would help, they'd be able to at least have the strength to get them there without as much threat of being harmed.

It's an idea, at least. I'll run it by Allen, he knows a lot about 'em. Thanks! ... Hey, I don't think I got your name.
