[ this afternoon there is quite an interesting spectacle in the kitchen, where one (1) noble stallion is fruitlessly trying to overcome his loss. he is seated on the floor in a manner one would expect from a canine, not a horse. but more importantly, he's giving a nearby bowl of apples a defeated look -- and that's exactly how he feels.
his ears droop and he lets out a sigh before he redoubles his efforts to try one last time. he actually lowers himself closer to the ground, as if trying to be stealthy, as he peeks over the countertop and lunges! unfortunately, the apple he was going for flies off of the table and heads toward the kitchen's entrance.
.. hope nobody gets hit. ]
