[Wesley's walking down the corridor of the castle. He's not really looking where he's going because he's reading entries in the journal and is also in a rather pre-occupied mood. His recent conversations with people have only served to remind him that he's out of step, mired in a past he can't completely escape from. The shadow of his misdeeds (as Spike so succinctly put it) looms constantly overhead, casting a pall over all of his interactions. He can't shake the inescapable feeling that some kind of karmic justice is in order. How long before Angel and Cordelia find out the truth?

And Fred...he's so confused about how he feels about her. He doesn't want to hurt her more than he probably already has. He's seeing Lilah now, but still his thoughts keep going back to her and their last conversation. And the one before that. And the one before that. Is it even possible to stop hurting each other? When did it happen? When had they ceased being the friends they once had been? It had happened before the incident with Connor, he was certain of that, but his betrayal had clinched it. Perhaps irrevocably, even if Fred was protesting to the contrary.

Wes accidentally bumps into someone. It jolts him out of his reverie.]

Watch it.

[He knows he's probably to blame for it, but he's out of sorts and out of apologies.]

((OOC: Wes is Eris-influenced as per this post. Totally open, feel free to troll, especially if your character needs to blow off some steam too!))
