tenth labyrinth
[It’s dark in this room save for the roar of fire from the massive fireplace dominating one wall. In many ways it resembles a standard room in the castle, though the trappings are slightly richer. There is nothing to recall the holiday in question, since things like that don’t exist where he comes from.
On a long sofa not far from the fire sits Felix, arranged comfortably against the curve of an arm. There is a man with him, much older but still boyish in the face, lying curled up against the wizard with a book. Felix is wearing nothing but trousers and an open robe, and both his hair and that of the other man is loose and long and slightly wild. One might call it distinctly post-coital.
Felix’s garishly tattooed hands softly caress the back it’s draped across while the brunette smiles vaguely downward, the hand not holding his place questing out for Felix’s.
He never wanted to leave here, but Felix was painfully aware that this was a dream, and that the man with him was dead. He’d never see him again. Would never be able to be with him like this again. Not even his true dreams were like this.]
Gideon?
[The man looks up, raising a questioning eyebrow.]
I- [he paused, feeling the words try to stick in his throat. He’d never said it, fearing that to do so was a curse and would take a person away from him. But Gideon was already gone…what harm could it do?] -I love you.
[Gideon sits all the way up, his honey-brown eyes wide with shock. The expression quickly transforms itself into a wide smile as he reaches up to touch Felix’s face tenderly.]
:I love you too, Felix. Always have:
[The words aren’t spoken aloud, of course. Gideon is mute, and speaks to Felix with his magic.
Felix’s lips twist into a lopsided smile and he kisses his lover gently. But there won’t be much more of that tonight, so Gideon pulls away with a sigh and relaxes against Felix again
Felix sighs as well, quietly wishing this were all real but greedy to enjoy it while he can]
