[Christmas, Saturnalia, or whatever the occasion may be, it doesn't matter. This is a time for humanity's last hope on Europe's harshest battlefield to relax, if only for a while; scouts are predicting no attacks for tonight, as though even the enemy knows the moment would be ruined.

Even Vice-Marshal Galland has made her way down, joining JG52 in their revelry. And what revelry it is, too! All the usual tension has given way to relief at pulling through for one more year, with everyone in remarkably good health and spirit despite their circumstances. There can't be any better cause for celebration.

Krupinski and Marseille are tag-teaming any silly soul not yet flushed with inebriation with some of the best alcohol available, poor Barkhorn looking on in faint disapproval, having long since given up on stopping them. Wilcke and Rall watch the unfolding chaos, chuckling in amusement, von Bonin joining in seemingly for the heck of it. All around them, the party continues in full swing, some dancing, some eating, some sitting back to catch their breath.

By the fireplace, Hartmann curls up next to her mentor, snatching the opportunity to occupy all her attention before any other disciple does]

Not going to keep Hanna and Krupi from the kids?

Well, tonight is special. I guess I could let it slide.

[they burst into a fit of giggles, like they had just shared a private joke]

[ooc: late, but open. see the all-star team make fools of themselves, Hartmann being unusually sappy, etc. timeline here is a mess, Hartmann just dreamed of practically everyone she knew in JG52 together]
