[he's sick of the castle. The walls mock him, the magic, the incomprehensible games, nothing makes sense... so, he spends the day in the town. It's a nice day out anyway, and he really hasn't done much exploring yet. At first it's nice, reminding him of the times that he was actually able to enjoy some aspect of being stuck in Ba Sing Se. The longer he's out there, though... the more he notices. Eventually he takes a seat on the edge of the fountain in the middle of town and pulls out his journal]
