[After assisting in taking Venom down, rather than get himself to the clinic like he should have, Matt instead dragged himself back to his apartment. He'd made it as far the room he kept hidden, housing his costumes and sensory deprivation tank, and had peeled himself out of his mask and leather jacket before collapsing hard on the tiled floor.

Like this for example.
Not long after that message goes up, she's charging into his room and slamming the door behind her. It's clear from the look on her face she's furious with Matt.]
You're an idiot. After everything that happened that night you still pulled a stunt like this?! Didn't you learn from my mistake at all?!
[She shakes her head.]
Don't bother answering that. Just tell me how bad it is.

You...know me. Can't be a "Man Without Fear" if I run away from every thug bigger than me.
[He pulls at the pathetic attempt at bandaging he's done, exposing the bloody, bruised mess that is his torso. He was lucky that Venom hadn't penetrated his suit, so there was no chance of infection, but still, the way he's breathing makes it seem pretty obvious that a lung's collapsed, at least.]
Bastard packs a wallop...[He coughs, spitting blood at the tile beside him.]...but he conducts as well as anything. Pretty sure he's broken most of my ribs...and my right lung's pretty torn up.
[He coughs again. He knows he probably shouldn't keep talking, but talk he does.]
I probably need a hospital...but I don't...I don't want people to know it was me...

Lucky for you I have people for these kind of things.
[She pulls her journal out of her bag. Elektra quickly scribbles down a message to a doctor she knew could keep a secret around here. She gave a short, detailed account of the injuries she could see and what Matt had told her.]
Just sit still until they gets here...and stop talking too.
[It was getting hard to stay angry with him when he was coughing up blood all over the floor.]

Her voice was calm, unhurried and soothing, as expert fingers began feeling out and treating his injuries.]
Remain still, breathe deeply.

I...appreciate this. I don't usually get this beat up.
[Matt didn't say more. Better to keep things simple, keep the obvious questions unanswered. He breathed deeply, and simply let the doc do her work.]

Thank you for coming Lilith. I know this goes without saying but, can you keep this between the three of us? Matt likes to keep this part of his life personal.
[Elektra knew Lilith wasn't an idiot. She should have been here long enough to pick out a vigilante. They were in a castle filled with them.]

You need to rest for a few days, Mr. Murdock.
[A soft chime of her jewellry as she bent over him, tying off the bandages with long fingers.]
I will come and visit daily to change your dressings.

I can do that. I...I shouldn't have done what I did in the first place. Stupid of me, but...[He trails off. He could never justify his life as a vigilante beyond "It needs to be done." so he just didn't bother.]

[It should be clear from her voice that this was not up for debate. He'd either consent willingly or she'd come here every day with Lilith to make sure it happened.]
And you're not leaving bed until Lilith says you're well enough to do so.

[Laughing softly, she picked Matt up (surprising strength this lady has) and carries him to bed.]
There now, rest.

You know, this marks only the second time I've entered this bed willingly. Tank in the other room's where I usually sleep. Guess I'm stuck here for the time being.
[He turns to Elektra, gesturing at the false wall that concealed his bathroom, costumes, and everything else.]
I've got a few bottles of painkillers in the bathroom I've got back there. Would you get me one of the fresher bottles of Vicodin? Just press on the middle of the fourth panel, right side, it should open for you.

[She then turns wordlessly to start filling the request. Once she enters, it's clear to see just how seriously he takes his role as Daredevil. There entire room is filled with other costumes and billy clubs. She makes a note to come back later to investigate it more thoroughly.
For now she is heading to the medicine cabinet as if there was nothing of interest in here. She only pauses to raise a brow at the sheer number of pain killers under different names as well his own before returning to Lilith and Matt.]
You have a pharmacy in there. [She still hands him the bottle nonetheless.]
