[Clark's JUST gotten there, something like two seconds ago, and now he's looking at what's left of the castle, absolutely baffled. He turns to look at whoever is in the vicinity, and then back to the smoking ruins, and the general insanity of it all. He can't make heads or tails of any of this, but it's ALL insane. Guess who has little to no memories of his time in town?]

Um well, it seems like the castle brainwashed a lot of people into thinking this place was home.

We thought that if we forced the castle to use it's energy on itself it would let go of the brain washing.

Luckily it worked.

It's possible that it's been using up most of it's energy with brainwashing and doesn't have enough to rebuild itself right now.

Yes, except for a few headaches from the looks of it.
