You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? Since when?" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out.
1. Name: Zachary. NOT Zachariah. Zach is good, but not any other spelling. If you spell it otherwise my mom will hunt you down and do horribly terrible things to you. I happen to love my name. It used to be rather unique, but it is such an awesome name it is now on the top 100 baby names. Oddly enough, a lot of people in Rhode Island have never heard of it before. Apparently they haven't read it in the bible, or don't realize one of their presidents had the same name.
2. Age: 29, and 30 on 8/8/8. I am very excited to turn 30 as it is an age I have always wanted to be. However, I don't quite feel thirty. Perhaps I just feel younger than the 'gay middle age'.
3. Location: Providence, RI. Literally the armpit of America. Seriously.
4. Occupation: I work with pastry students, helping them with internships (mostly), and career services.
5. Partner: Single, perpetually so. I have had a couple of wonderful relationships that failed horribly. Oh how I deign to be a house-husband.
6. Kids: No thank you please. I raised one of my brother for the 1st 5 years of his life and that was enough. Now I am happy being the much older brother to a 10-year old.
7. Brothers/Sisters: 1.5 brothers, or 3-half brothers...technically. I really only think of them as my full brothers. They are all totally awesome and I have a unique relationship with the each of them. They worship the quicksand I walk on.
8. Pets: I have had over 300 pets in my life, but currently I am without one. I would really like to have my turtle back, but that was out of my control.

10. What did you go to school for?
I don't know what 'for', but I have an AS in Culinary Arts, a BS in Culinary Nutrition and I am working on an MLA in Gastronomy. I am considering getting one or more of the following: an MS in Nutrition Education, an MAT in Foodservice Teaching, a PHD in Food Studies, or a Diploma in Gastronomy in Australia. Maybe I'll do all of them? I'm already $90,000 in debt, what's a little more?
11. Parents: My mom raised me, but from 16-21 I didn't speak to her. I hated my father while growing up, but from 16-27 got along rather well with him. I am now best friends with my mom and trying hard find a way to respect my father. It's all very complicated.
12. Close Friends: I have some very best friends whom I have known for more than half of my life. I tend to form long lasting relationships, but recently I have been terminating those that have become corrosive.
Other news: I bought a scooter and I LOVE IT.
