on friday i went to go see m. night shyamalans, the happening. it was a great flick...however....
there were three seniors sitting a few rows behind me that were so obnoxious. the woman talked non-stop and was so loud. after dealing with her nonsense i turned around and shushed her to no avail. so i turned around again, snapped my fingers three times and said, "hey honey, you need to shut the hell up. BE QUIET!" the two gentlemen she was with heard me and shushed her, but i don't think she heard me. in fact, i'm pretty certain she was deaf.
now, i am pretty tolerant of seniors oddball behavior. i know they can get confused, pissy, have little patience and can't drive for shit. however i have my limits and the movie theater is a place where i have zero tolerance for bullshit.
the last three movies i have seen there have been issues. the loud talkative seniors recently, before that was a guy that laughed at EVERY line, and before that was a guy who felt the need to heckle.
is it too much to ask people to shut up and watch the movie? if you feel the need to do that, stay home and rent a video - don't ruin my experience that i paid a lot of damned money for!
k, i feel better now...
