QUESTION TO CONSIDER:
What area of my life am I holding back from God?

I am holding back from God in a number of areas in my life because I am still learning to trust God and still struggling to give everything over to God. However, I find I could give more when it comes to reading the scripture. I follow my daily devotional reading with Aimee, we discuss our views and beliefs on various topics throughout the day, I find time to give thanks, I am finding my way back into church, yet I am not setting time aside to read the word of the Lord.
It is important to me that I devote time to reading the scripture because it is the primary document of my faith. It is the recording of the lives of the people of God and of God's word itself. It is the foundation of my religion and the word on which I should base my life. realizing the significance of this, I absolutely must give more. I need to set time aside to read the Bible, not try to squeeze it in at the end of the day when I'm tired. The scripture is much more important to me than that. When I'm reading the verses, I can even copy quotes I like or those I'd like to remember and post them in my room, bathroom, car, etc as daily reminders of the word of the Lord. However, I actually need to DO these things, not just talk about them. Through daily practice I can lose my old habits and replace them with better daily rituals.
