Working five part-time jobs is not fun! But, by staying incredibly busy, I don't find myself angsting over what my new contract with Sight & Sound will be. I was kind of hoping for it to come on Friday; but when I stopped to get stamps at the post office, I remembered it was Veteran's Day and there would be no mail. Of course, that was after I'd ( Read more... )

Between you and seph_ski, you have me wondering if I have things we will be jettisoning that could fetch a little something on eBay, but I am so non-savvy about that whole thing. I used eBay once to procure an antique Bingo cage for my parents for Christmas, but I've never tried to sell anything there -- figured the shipping would be too costly and time-consuming and eat up my profits. Plus, I've got no idea what sort of things we'd have around here that would even fetch a pretty penny. Feel free to debunk my fears.

Debunking! :) felicity_chan November 15 2005, 22:24:43 UTC
*grins* You never know!!!

The nice thing about shipping is you have the option to charge the buyer for the total shipping and handling cost which is what I always do. Most sellers that I've bought from do.

If you can give me an idea of what you're getting rid of, I can debunk further! :)

I also do consignment selling as part of my business (I've done some for several folks on my LJ friends list)...shoot...if I had a car, I'd come down and do a consignment visit. And please, don't feel any pressure!!

But anyway, let me know what you're jettisoning and I'll debunk and we can work from there, even me giving you advice. :)

When I know what we're jettisoning, I will let you know. Do books do anything on eBay? Where does Amazon get their used books?

Great!!!

I would recommend eBay or Half.com (an eBay spinoff that's for books and movies). You can also sell your used books through Amazon.com, I had looked into it, but was turned off by their fees.

Books do stuff on eBay. Depending on what you've got (mass market, signed, or collectors), that will also determine what you get.

So yes, please supply me with a list! And I shall supply you with advice. :)
