update on the unpleasantness
so... after spending most of the day in Urgent/Acute Care (11:30 to 2:40 to be precise) they were unable to figure out what's going on beyond that i have an infection. we did determine that i am negative for mono. (yay! although why she thought it might be mono i've no idea.)
so i'm still in a fair amount of pain, but less than yesterday. ability to swallow easily -- and ability to talk -- come and go. i'm on a dual antibiotic for the next ten days and signed off of work until Sunday. it's difficult to open my mouth very wide and i have to talk softly for the most part.
