I hope everyone is having a good holiday season!
For the Harry Potter fans who are still in a Christmas-y kind of mood I have a video I made for the
cos_calender . It's an Harry Potter advent calendar, so it's fun to check out all of the entries. I worked on the video below and the
Snape election team entry.
Both were lots of fun. :)
The video to Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song. For some reason it popped into my head with Harry Potter scenes attached and so I made this. ;)

I recommend
the higher quality version on youtube. I used Vegas Pro 8 for the video. I like that program. I don't know how to output in widescreen though. It keeps letterboxing. I have to hunt for a tutorial...
I'm happy I am on break from the craziness of grad school. One of my teachers posted our grades already. Funnily enough it's the teacher who wasn't all that timely about grading our stuff. I got an A+. I'll take that, thank you. I'm worried about one class, though. I can breathe after I get an OK grade in that one. I blew the final, I think... so we'll see what happens. I'm taking five classes next semester. Gaaahh! Sorry. Needed to spazz.
One of the classes is all day at an elementary school once a week. This should be interesting. My observations at the school were cool, even though I sort of procrastinated and had a bunch to do all at once. The kids were cute and the teachers were really helpful. I think I ended up observing with all the young, cool teachers. LOL. It was great though because most of the time the kids remembered me and were all chatty and excited to have me there. Too cute. :)
Earlier this week I went to three of the Harry Potter movies at the Ziegfeld. It was pretty cool, I have to say. Too bad that the theater was pretty much empty though. It was kind of sad. Also the Ziegfeld was rather annoying with their cancelations and shuffling of movies. If you're going to sell tickets online then make sure that you stick to your schedule. Grr. And I so wich someone had the foresight to get the Half-Blood Prince trailer to run in front of the showings...
I've been watching the BSG webisodes on the SciFi channel website. They are pretty good so far. It makes me remember how much I miss this show... Only a few weeks left until the beginning of the end though! The commercials on SciFi are pretty continuous. And we finally got SciFiHD the other day. I'm really hoping they air BSG on HD.
I watched a good chunk of the TNG marathon on SciFi yesterday. I enjoyed it. I watched some episodes that I haven't seen in a while and I sort of forgot how strong the writing could be on that show. It's one of my favorite Treks but lately I had been feeling that it hasn't aged very well. I think the marathon yesterday changed my mind on that. Good stuff.
I have not watched the Doctor Who Christmas special yet. I have it all ready to watch. I'll probably watch it tonight. :)
