(no subject)
I'm currently on my uncle's computer, so I'll try to keep this update short. I do have Odi's computer with me, but the unsecured wireless networks around here are unstable and hard to come by, and I told Odi not to bother with setting up a secured one here before he left. I'll upload pictures some time and put them up.
Grandpa's 70th's birthday celebration went well, and I managed to buy a (more casual) dress for the dinner. I haven't stopped shopping since then :O Odi left on the 13th so he can go back to work, and I'll be back July 4th. Odi's been calling me almost every day, and we get to talk for a long time aside from the last week.
I just returned yesterday from a small trip to Thailand with my grandparents, mom, and Alex. Our original destination was Manila, but we settled on a 5-day Bangkok and Pattaya tour. We went to a few tourist attractions, as well as a few malls and some shows. I actually went parasailing and wasn't too freaked out about it O.o Most of the meals provided were nearly identical with the same types of entrees, and it wasn't even Thai food.
Out of the three shows we were offered (which we had to pay separately from the trip, of course), the Alcazar Cabaret was the best. The entire female cast are transexuals and most of them are very pretty, but the show is still family-friendly. It includes singing (lip-syncing?) and dancing and is similar to Vegas shows, and it was definitely worthwhile. The other two though (one male one female) were definitely not worth the entry fee, and I'll post about them when I get LJ-cut working.
Something messed with my stomach on my way back yesterday, and I've been sick since this morning. I did manage to go pick up my traveling document for entering China, but I didn't go long without stomach cramps. I still haven't met up with my friends here though, and the only person I saw was my cousin Lulu, who came up to our place and visited my grandparents.
I guess I should rest soon, hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and can head out to watch Ocean's 13 :)
