Seafood by the Sea
Last weekend was one of the only long weekends that Odi actually have off, so we planned a few things. We first went on an Alcatraz tour, which meant we had to get up early on a weekend :O We stopped by Peet's to get breakfast, then got to the pier really early just in case. Boy, was it windy out! We took the 12pm ferry we didn't get back until past 3. Good thing we already decided on our lunch spot before we left for the island, so we ordered 3 lbs of killer crab and a side of garlic noodles. It has soooo much butter, but it's really good! We walked around the pier some more after buying Gigi and my bare mineral stuff, then we left for San Mateo.
We stopped by Hillsdale Mall first to look for a dress for my grandpa's birthday (unsuccessful), then went to Whole Foods. I wanted some of that chocolate credendovides got, plus the Scharfenberger chocolate pudding they sell there. They had a large selection of chocolate, but the Callebaut was what I wanted. It was one of the lower priced ones too! I went home and dipped strawberries with it later, and I have to agree with aadyeniel that it's a tad too sweet. It's really good with strawberries though, and it's a LOT better than the Caro chunk I got last time at Cupertino's WF. I wonder which type I got, and how I can get my hands on all the other stuff they make :D
Odi brought me lunch (Phở and Bún bò Huế) in since I was tired, then we just stayed home. We did go out Monday for our usual multi-stop grocery shopping, and the Malaysian food we had for lunch was good. We ended the weekend with homemade salmon sushi :D
on a random note: I know I'm nowhere close to pregnant, but I'd love a Bella Band!
I woke up today to all kinds of commotion. Looks like LJ's going haywire ( taken here, rhyana also posted about it here), and I'm still trying to read everything about it. The whole thing seems out of line, as some "innocent" people got their journals deleted. Look, it made stupid_free too! So many links... I'll be here reading with my bowl of old kettle corn.
It's just a tad over a week before I'm gone for the month... we'll see how much updating I get to do :O
