Tired wallets

Odi and I got poured on while getting into the car after Red Lobster :O We went down to Camarillo (outlets) and Oxnard (old navy, Nordstrom rack) to go shopping, and it started drizzling for a little bit. It was raining cats and dogs by the time we were heading back :( I did quite some damage, but now both of my boys (Odi and Alex) have new clothing! I also got cute boots and other things. We even went to Lacoste and splurged on a green polo for me and navy button-down for Odi.

I've been slacking and didn't post about my thanksgiving... until now. Odi and I got a quarter ham and half turkey breast from Honeybaked Ham, and it was great :D I made all the other side dishes out of canned/boxed stuff. This includes boxed mashed potatoes, green bean casserole from the Campbell's label recipe, gravy from a packet, and biscuits from a ready mix. What can I say? I'm a slacker. I also don't really care that my mashed taters come from a box (and I can see credendovides cringe as he reads this. ha!) We had tons of leftovers, but the ham was great on bread with melted cheese :D

So for those of you who haven't bothered to call me or talk to me on various messengers (*ahem*), I'll be moving next month. Odi accepted a job offer in Santa Clara, and we'll be moving into the in-laws' place in Hayward. (Since Rachie brought this up, I should clarify: no, I'm not married yet, it's just easier on me to say "in-laws" vs. "future in-laws" or "fiancé's parents", I'll definitely let you know when I do.) I'll finally have a land line again, and Odi will get high speed internet and cable/satellite into the house. We're planning our Asia tour somewhere around late January, so we'll see how things turn out.

This is also one last reminder to gimme your address if you want a card.

Enough damage for my (and Odi's) wallet for a day, time for some rest!

shopping, travel, holidays, news, family
