Merry Merry Solstice!

I had a wonderful time yesterday :) We had a moms get together here at the house and it was me, Jen and Tanya and all the kids. We opened our presents (I got a Agift card and canvases/drawing pads!) and the kids drove us insane half the time and played peacefully the other half. Poor Kenzie wouldnt leave Jen's side though :( She was not in the mood to socialize and once Lydia looked at her and she started screaming *chuckles*. That girl has an amazing set of lungs on her for someone so small! I got Tanya a started Tarot deck and her and Jen had fun practicing on eachother while I explained some of the basics of reading cards to them :D It was rather humorous to have three women sitting at a table with tarot cards laid out and four screaming children running around us. It was like a scene out of a pagan Norman Rockwell painting lololol.

Lydia has finally gone back to sleeping through the night. It only took a month after our vacation! Jeff is teaching her letters and numbers at night during her bath. She knows 1-5 and can identify by sight about 10 different letters. :D Smart baby! Yesterday morning as we were getting ready to go out she grabbed my bra and stuck it over her head and smoothed it down saying "boobies!" and then tried to run off with it. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. I took her to the mall and to down town Bristol for some last minute gifts. Walking down town there was some construction going on in front of one of the shops and there were five orange cones. She was fascinated by the orange cones and she walked up to each one and touched it and counted them up to four, then at the fifth one I guess she couldnt remember what came after four so she said "K!" and skipped off. The construction guys found it absolutely delightful though ;)

We watched The Wicker Man last night. Neither I nor Jeff can figure out what people have their knickers in a twist over, as we found it to be a really good modern version of the movie. The biggest difference is that Cage had a cell phone omgz. I dont know, we liked it. We also liked My Super Ex Girlfriend, that was a cute and funny movie!

I think I am going to try and make today a lazy day at home. It will be nice not to go anywhere and just chill before the weekend. Jeff gave me one of my present early and I squeed when I opened it-its Brother Odd by Dean Koontz, and I didnt even know he had a new Odd Thomas book out! I think Lost is going to be tossed aside and I'm going to read Brother Odd. Then its on to Valley of Silence. I think I might take a bubble bath while she is napping today and start reading :D
