Wind It Up!
The other day as we were gettingready to go out I had VH1 on and Wind It Up by Gwen Stefani came on. Lydia immediatly stopped bouncing her happy self all over the bed and stared at the tv. She was enthralled! She was tickled pink when after the video was over I switched it over to MTV and it was coming on again. She loves music. She has heard my Regina Spektor compilation so much that she sits in the back of the car and sings along with it now. When shows she knows come on tv, she sings the theme songs. She sings with Sgt Peppers, and if she hears something new that she likes she will ask you to play it again and concentrate until she can sing some of the words. I think thats pretty smart!
We love music, all kinds of music but we cant sing lol, so I wonder if she will be able to. She is sure as hell trying! She was listening to Keene, The Beatles, The Who and many more before she was even born, and it was because of her that I discovered Regina Spektor-it was one of those Late Night Shows that I would have never seen if she werent awake lol. I'm just going to love watching her love of music develope over time. Its a good thing I still have my kareoke machine, huh?
